Welcome to The Point Hostels! All our hostels are uniquely different, but you will always find them to be friendly, fun and comfortable places where we offer a personal level of service to all kinds of backpackers. In 8 years of operation thousands of happy backpackers have stayed in our hostels where they have partied, relaxed, laughed and maybe had some romance on the way!
- Cusco, Lima, Arequipa and Mancora
We opened our first hostel in Lima in 2004, a old republican building was chosen in the bohemian district of Barranco just 2 minutes from fantastic ocean views and right near the bars and restaurants of Barranco. The hostel was created with all our own experiences of travel in mind. The hostel was designed to be friendly and fun, relaxing in the day and the place to party at night. We also wanted to provide services and facilities of the highest quality, we have always invested in the hostel and never allowed ourselves to become complacent. Whatever age you are and whether travelling alone or in a group the Point Lima remains the primary hostel of choice for fun loving backpakers in Lima.

The point Arequipa opened in 2005 and quickly became the place to be in Arequipa, many people will end up staying longer than expected in Arequipa due to this fun and friendly hostel. Being Peru's second largest city Arequipa boasts a great night-life that the hostel staff love showing guests. the hostel boasts some amazing views from the sky garden and even has a jacuzzi for some interesting nights!

In June 2006 The Point Cusco opened its doors and quickly established itself as the place to stay and have fun in Cusco, recently voted in the top three hostels in South America by Hostelbookers.com. The largest of our hostels The Point Cusco has one of the best bars in Cusco as well as a large garden and relaxation areas. While being large the hostel retains the feeling of intimacy and warmth that you will experience in all our hostels, helped by the friendly staff and the management from Ozzie Ben the hostel has become the number one hostel of choice for those looking to enjoy themselves in Cusco.

Work began on our new hostel in Mancora in September 2007, we wanted to make a hostel that was not too big and where everyone there would feel special and create a little oasis in the Mancora. Work was a very rustic affair and was not without its problems! But the end result was a hostel that is homely, personal and unique in the town of Mancora. True to our overriding philosophy that our hostels are not huge and impersonal.

The hostel in Mancora was completed on time and the results were fantastic, cosy Bali themed oasis 10 minutes walk from the centre of Mancora with a truly homely feel, the hostel has gone from strength to strength and is no renowned as a place to relax in the day and party at night, the hostel holds monthly Full Moon parties where the whole town seems to come and party, these parties have become the stuff of Mancora legend!
